We have recently donated funds to a fantastic cause in Hackney who place an emphasis on community engagement through cooking coupled with providing healthy vegan food to those struggling to feed themselves for many different reasons.

They sum up the benefits of this initiative perfectly themselves

‘From curing type 2 diabetes, healing chronic bowel disorders, improving chronic fatigue symptoms, helping to manage depression, forming new friendships, starting a window ledge garden, gaining the skills and confidence to start a food business or learning to cook for the first time age 82 – the MIH family members unique journey’s after participating in our programmes never cease to amaze and inspire.’

As always where possible we like to contribute physically to the causes we support and will be Hackney bound some time in the new year to roll up our sleeves and get cooking.

You can find out how you can get involved via the website. Whether through corporate or individual days out helping or delivering the delicious food to those in need there are plenty go opportunities to assist.

The Funding

With charitable objectives to adhere to we are always careful to ensure that any funding is for specific causes that match these and the funding we have given to MIH is restricted funding to assist with the batch cooking sessions that provide food specifically for those struggling with food poverty and food insecurity.

We are delighted to be able to contribute towards this wonderful cause and look forward to a continued working relationship with them.
