India school feeding project
We were really happy to sponsor a school feeding programme at the GGSSS Rajandra Pahadganj school in Ajmer, Rajasthan, an area that has a personal connection with Paul as his family originate from there.
To be able to supply food for a year was an easy decision as it becomes more and more evident how good nutrition and avoiding hunger runs in parallel with maximising a child’s ability to learn. Nice to hear first hand about the impact from the Vice Principal in the video above.
The area where this school sits is one of some very high poverty levels and just the fact that there are school meals available is enough encouragement to get the children to attend classes as, if they didn’t, they may struggle to eat regularly.
We look forward to continuing this sponsorship and hopefully enhancing our relationship by helping improve the sanitation in the school to make the whole process of the children’s learning experience a more comfortable one.
