The Coronation Food Project
To mark His Majesty’s 75th birthday the King Charles III Charitable Fund has officially launched the Coronation Food Project.
In December 2022 a £1million pound fund was launched which, at the time, allowed for over 800 commercial fridges and freezers to be distributed to charitable causes both big and small allowing fresh and frozen food to be saved that would otherwise have gone to waste. Now, in order to ensure that significantly more food can be prevented from going to waste, a number of coronation Food Hubs are to be established across the UK which will allow for food to be distributed to some of the 14 million people in the UK suffering from food insecurity and poverty.
