Huge congratulations go to Food Bank Aid who successfully raised over £1 million pounds to continue to provide food to 21 food banks through North London. Of course the fact that this is needed at all is the shocking and worrying factor but never the less it is quite remarkable what they are doing.

MUMS ON HUNGER STRIKE
A group of 10 mums have been on hunger strike since Mother’s Day to draw attention to food poverty and parents skipping meals to feed their children.
BRICK BY BRICK PROJECT LAUNCH
A new charity initiative with support from Amazon, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Wigan and Leigh charity The Brick, and Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham will donate more than 400,000 surplus essential goods to more than 50,000 families in need in Greater Manchester this year.
